He is currently the Deputy Vice Chancellor of University Malaysia of Computer Science & Engineering (UNIMY) and Adjunct Professor at Wawasan Open University. He previously held key academic and leadership roles in Malaysia and The Bahamas, and in the Malaysian Ecotourism Association.
