Getting to Fraser’s Hill from Kuala Lumpur & KLIA

Fraser’s Hill, a scenic highland retreat nestled in the Titiwangsa mountain range of Pahang, is located approximately 100 km north of Kuala Lumpur. Known for its cool climate, colonial charm, and peaceful ambiance, it’s a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Here’s how you can make your way there from either KLIA or downtown KL:

Option 1: Train Adventure + Scenic Shuttle Bus

 Route: KLIA → KL Sentral → Kuala Kubu Bharu (KKB)

  1. KLIA → KL Sentral
    • Hop on the KLIA Ekspres or KLIA Transit for a smooth, air-conditioned ride straight to the heart of KL.
    • Journey time: 30–40 minutes.
    • Fare: Around RM55.00 (KLIA Ekspres), slightly less for KLIA Transit.
  1. KL Sentral → Kuala Kubu Bharu (KKB)
    • Board the KTM Komuter (Port Klang Line) heading towards Tanjung Malim.
    • Hop off at KKB Station ‒ your gateway to the highlands!
    • Journey time: 1.5–2 hours.
    • Fare: Around RM11.00

Once you arrive at Kuala Kubu Bharu, you’ve two options to make the final leg of your journey up to Fraser’s Hill:

  • Travel time: Approximately 90 minutes
  • Estimated fare: RM150 one way
 

🚌 Option B: Complimentary Conference Shuttle

A complimentary conference shuttle will be available for those who need transportation from KKB to Fraser’s Hill.  The ride takes about 90 minutes and winds through lush greenery and crisp mountain air. Conference shuttle schedule details will be announced soon – stay tuned!

 Option 2: Drive Yourself (Freedom & Flexibilit)

If you love a good road trip, driving to Fraser’s Hill is your best bet. The journey from KL or KLIA takes roughly 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic and pit stops.

Route:

  1. From KLIA, get on the North-South Expressway (E1) via the ELITE Highway (E6)
  2. Head towards Kuala Lumpur or Rawang (depending on your starting point), then exit at Rawang or Bukit Beruntung
  3. Countinue on Route 55 to Kuala Kubu Bharu (KKB).
  4. From KKB, follow signs to “The Gap,” then enjoy a beautiful uphill drive to Fraser’s Hill.

Note: The mountain road is scenic but narrow and winding, so take your time, drive safely and enjoy the view!

Option 3: Travel Agent (Sit Back & Relax)

Looking for a hassle-free, door-to-door experience? You can opt for a direct transport service from KLIA to Fraser’s Hill. It’s convenient but comes at a higher price.

Getting to Fraser’s Hill from the East Coast

Here’s how to make your way up into the misty hills:

Option 1: Road Trip via Genting Highlands – Scenic, Thrilling, and Satisfying

  • Use the East Coast Expressway (LPT) for a smooth, fast drive westward.
  • Make a stop at Genting Highlands – the vibrant mountain resort is perfect for stretching your legs, enjoying the cool air, or grabbing a bite with a view.
  • Continue the journey by driving toward Batang Kali, then proceed to Kuala Kubu Bharu. From there, connect to The Gap before the final scenic ascent to Fraser’s Hill.
 

Option 2: East Coast Expressway + Scenic Detour

  • Take the East Coast Expressway (LPT) for a smooth and efficient westward drive.
  • Continue your journey toward Bentong, Pahang — a charming town that makes for a great pit stop (don’t miss the chance to try some ginger milk tea!) before continuing on to Raub.
  • From Raub, take Route 55 toward Fraser’s Hill, passing through The Gap as you ascend into the cool highlands.
